Paralympics Legacy: Seize the Moment
Empowering, Dynamic, Superhuman
Legacy was an important priority for London 2012 with the main thought around this being sport. But legacy is something for us all to create and take responsibility for.
Here at Amber Support Services everyone of us is seizing the moment of the Paralympic Legacy and taken responsibility to get healthy and sporty. We dont have thousands of pounds to spend but what we do have is a huge committment. We are using our local parks and amenities, and with the money raised from our Paralympic Games we have reinvested this in small items of equipment.
"You cant wait for someone else to do legacy, you've got to take a bit of responsibility for yourself"
Paralympic Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
The London Paralympic's 2012 has been a celebration of disability achievement; a once in a generation opportunity. We were recently successful in our bid for funding through the Social Enterprise Fund which we intend to use to develop greater opportunities for fitness within our community. What will the Paralympic legacy mean to you?
