Leading up to our CQC Inspection we are critically looking at our services and asking ourselves what pushes our service across that boundary into Outstanding? We have been overwhelmed by the examples that have come forward and have now compiled a file of ‘outstanding evidence'.
We believe that we go the extra mile and provide a service above and beyond our role. We pay attention to the details that make all the difference to people for example one of our staff recently purchased a blender and juices with clients for their house. They also invested in a ‘smoothie bible’ which explains what each smoothie is good for together with the relevant recipe.
Small as this detail may be however it has had a huge impact particularly when one of our clients immune system needed boosting – they looked up a couple of recipes and put it to the test and hey presto our client is now on the road to recovery.
We have various services across our group, all of which are designed with the aim of supporting independence and enabling people with learning disabilities to live the meaningful, fulfilling lives they want. We use modern communication techniques to ensure the voices of people using our services are heard and acted upon including video blogs of the activities they do on a daily basis.
Please take the time to look at our latest Amber Eco Blog which is enthusiastically explained by John who heads the project and has worked to support people to agree their goals, the activities they wanted to do and monitor their progress in an exciting and innovative way – how many people can say they have a vineyard in Worcestershire!
