Discover what happened this week at Amber Inspire, from no-bake cooking and Bee Day to dreamcatchers and garden projects—all building skills and confidence.
At Amber Inspire, every session is a chance to learn, laugh and grow — and this week was no exception! As part of our life skills programme, we kicked off with a fun and healthy cooking activity: making no-bake protein balls. These delicious little treats are packed with energy, easy to make, and perfect for building kitchen confidence without needing to use any heat. Our clients loved rolling and shaping them – and of course, taste-testing their creations!
But the creativity didn’t stop there. With National Bee Day in full buzz, we turned our attention to the wonderful world of bees. Clients learned all about why bees matter, how they help our environment, and what we can do to protect them. We built cheerful little bee houses for gardens and created a colourful new display board filled with fascinating bee facts. It’s a perfect reminder of how small actions can support a bigger cause.
Next up in our craft corner was dreamcatcher making – a relaxing and imaginative activity that encourages fine motor skills, focus, and a chance to chat. Each dreamcatcher reflected its creator’s style and personality, and they’ll soon be proudly hanging in our Inspire space as part of our evolving creative wall.
Another day took us outdoors where we began designing our very own Mini Gardens. From choosing plants and textures to mapping out ideas, this project is helping us think about nature, planning, and how we can bring more green spaces into our everyday lives. These gardens are a joyful mix of practicality and play – and we can’t wait to watch them grow.
At Amber Inspire, every day is built around real experiences that develop independence, creativity, and life skills in a supportive, person-centred way. Whether we’re cooking, crafting, or caring for the planet, there’s always something new to learn — and someone beside you to enjoy it with.
