About

disability support

Amber Support is a place where you’ll discover a world of exciting opportunities for adults with learning and physical disabilities across Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Sandwell and The Black Country.

We’re here to offer disability support services from 1 hour a week to 24 hours a day and are proud to offer not just a fantastic disability support Day Service, but also Community Care, Outreach Respite and even fun Social Enterprise projects!

When you come to us, you’ll get access to transport and specially-adapted vehicles. Our friendly team members are fully-trained and experienced in a range of specialisms. We can administer medication and offer personal care if and when required.

Working Together

Our Client Voice Team talk about topical news stories, develop easy read guides and hold regular Client Voice Meetings to help other clients feel at ease and understand what’s going on in the world.

Our
Culture

disability support

Our disability support services are tailored to the individual. We believe having an excellent work culture plays a big part in providing the very best care we can.

With an open and inclusive culture where we all get involved, we plan and deliver innovative support while taking the time to listen to the needs of our clients.

Our holistic approach focuses on families, advocates and friends and, by taking onboard our clients’ future aspirations, we are always looking for bigger and better ways of delivering outcome-based support.

We are courageous, bold and unafraid to take positive risks!

Our
Promise

We have developed a set of values and standards which have formed part of our commitment to the people that we support. We call this commitment ‘Our Promise’ and this now forms the backbone by which support is delivered and includes:

  • To listen and understand
  • Be straightforward and honest
  • To be there for you if you need us
  • You are in control
  • Complete peace of mind in a tailored package

Family
Values

A happy team makes happy clients!

Here at Amber Support, we are all part of one big family. We know it’s cheesy, but it’s true! Everyone takes care of one another and all ideas are listened to.

The care we provide for our team allows them to flourish and reach not only Amber’s goals, but their personal goals too.

So, whether you have some suggestions of how we can improve, or would like to step up your responsibilities, we will take everything on board.

Nothing is ever too much for us – from never missing a phone call, to ensuring all clients get the fantastic service they deserve.

Getting
Started

disability support

If you haven’t already, the first thing you need to do is simply give us a call! We’re more than happy to hear from new people and give our advice. Next, we will organise an initial Support Assessment, which will be carried out face-to-face.

We’ll take what we discussed in our assessment to create your Care Plan, which will outline the details of how we will help you achieve your goals.

Your Care Plan takes into account your whole lifestyle, not just your assessed needs or financial situation. You’ll be encouraged to think creatively about how you will achieve your goals and you can change your mind at any time. You will be central to creating your Care Plan and it is entirely flexible; we will regularly review your plan to make sure you are always happy!

Your review will be focused on you, your achievements and your future goals. Your Care Plan can then be adapted to your changing needs. To read more about what good Care Planning looks like, download our flow chart:

Partnerships
& Professionals

disability support

We’re always looking for partnerships and learning opportunities to enable us to deliver the best disability support possible. We take the quality of our service very seriously here at Amber Support and continually review our processes to ensure they align with best practises.

We are regulated by the CQC, an organisation that makes sure services meet fundamental standards of quality and safety. We take pride in providing a safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-lead service, in line with CQC standards. We ensure our team understand CQC regulations and work to the highest standards to provide the very best care for our clients.

Supportive
Technology

disability support

Here at Amber Support, we have adopted some fantastic technology to enhance the quality of support we provide for our clients.

Selected to benefit both our team and the people we support; our technology gives us all the tools to do our job effectively.

From video doorbells to voice recognition devices, we use technology in a way that actively helps our clients to live life as independently as possible.

Plus, it allows us to cut costs in the long-term, meaning more of our clients’ budgets can be put towards other aspects of support, such as our Day Service, Community Projects and other activities.

Our
Awards

We have achieved so much here at Amber Support since our beginning in 2004. Our awards recognise the fantastic quality of care we offer and we take pride in each and every accolade.
