Sustainability

Looking after the world around us is part of who we are. At Amber Support, sustainability is not just a policy. It is a shared responsibility that connects people, place and purpose. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact, protecting biodiversity and enhancing wellbeing through thoughtful and practical action. Our approach brings together innovation, community and care for the planet in everything we do.
We proudly work with environmentally responsible partners and across our organisation, we use sustainable practices such as rainwater collection, mindful purchasing and reduced waste. These choices reflect the values of the people we support and our respect for nature.
Our community project, Amber Seasons, is an off grid land-based service where people and nature grow together. Located in peaceful countryside, Amber Seasons offers hands-on horticultural therapy, outdoor activity and meaningful time in nature. It is a space designed to improve wellbeing, increase confidence and strengthen our connection with the environment.
From everyday practice to long term thinking, we are committed to working responsibly and leading by example across social care. A better future begins with the choices we make today.
Wellbeing
and Safety

We believe that people flourish in environments where they feel safe, respected, and supported, and we take our responsibilities seriously in creating and maintaining such spaces.
From safeguarding procedures and risk assessments to physical site safety and emergency planning, we embed safety at every level of our organisation. Our teams are trained to recognise and respond to concerns, and we take pride in fostering a culture of vigilance, care, and responsibility.
We strive to create a culture where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued — whether they are receiving care or delivering it. This means championing emotional health, encouraging healthy work-life balance, and creating space for honest dialogue and feedback.
We understand that people cannot thrive in isolation, so we foster connection, collaboration, and kindness across our teams and services. Whether someone spends one day with us or many years, we want their experience to reflect care, quality, and compassion in every interaction.
Wellbeing and safety are not standalone policies, they are the foundation of everything we do. At Amber Support Services, we see safeguarding and emotional wellbeing not just as responsibilities, but as opportunities to lead with integrity, set the highest standards, and deliver care people can trust.
Every decision, every policy, every action is shaped by one guiding principle: people matter. And when people feel safe, supported and respected, they do more than cope — they flourish.

Diversity
and Inclusion

At Amber Support, diversity is not a policy it is a strength. We are proud to work with people from all walks of life, and we know that by creating an inclusive, respectful culture, we can provide better care, build stronger teams and positively impact the communities we serve.
We are committed to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in every area of our work. That means ensuring that all individuals, whether clients, staff, family members or visitors, are treated with dignity, respect and fairness. We do not tolerate discrimination in any form, and we work actively to remove barriers, challenge bias and celebrate difference.
Everyone at Amber is valued for who they are. We recognise that identity is multi-layered and personal, and we are committed to supporting people of all ethnicities, backgrounds, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, faiths and lifestyles. We create opportunities, not obstacles and we believe no one should feel like they need to fit in to belong.
Our inclusive approach is woven into everything we do from recruitment and training to service planning and leadership. We listen. We learn. We adapt. We create spaces where people feel safe to express themselves, speak up, and contribute fully.
Inclusion at Amber Support is not just a statement it is something we live. One of the strongest examples is our Client Voice Manager, a member of our staff team who also receives support from us. His role ensures the voices of others receiving support are heard, respected and acted upon. It is this kind of meaningful involvement that shapes our culture and pushes us to do better.
Diversity helps us connect, respond and grow. It makes us more human, more curious, and more capable of delivering care that truly reflects the people we serve.
